Wicked.

Dear Diary,

Woah... I haven't posted in 2 months or so. It was too hard to keep up with. So...update on my life?

I've decided to... start wasting my time blogging again, because some people I know are blogging too. Not that I'm going to let them know about my blog or anything. Hell no. Haha. Why did I stop blogging? Hmm...

Anyways...,I am SO excited about graduating the eighth grade and Midlothian Middle. Thank the effing lord I am leaving the wrecked middle school for good. Haha. That reminds me. In chorus there's this song we haven't started practicing yet. It's call "For Good". I really really really want the solo in the beginning, because the song means so much to me.

"I've heard it said
that people come into our lives
for a reason
bringing something we much learn
and we are lead
to those who help us most to grow
if we let them
and we help them in return
well, I don't know if I believe that's true
but I know I'm who I am today
because I knew you."

I'm sort of worried... about the audition though. Toni, Danielle, and Shannon are probably/most likely auditioning for the solo too and they're really good. Toni's like...Beyonce. She's awesome. I've been practicing my ass off (the solo) and I know the words to that song by heart....the chorus version is just too high. The original starting key for "For Good" used on Broadway is the D sharp above middle C, but the chorus version is the F above middle C. (2 half steps above the original key). Ugh.

Also..., my friend Casey tried to use his "convincing skills" to try to get my chorus teacher to choose him and my other friend Jessica to give them the duet solo in "Don't Stop Believin' " (Glee version. He subsequently tried to convince her that I was working really hard practicing the solo...uhmm yeah. You know what he said?:

Casey: "Hey. Natasha has been singing "For Good" 24/7 lately. She was singing it when our health class was walking to Rita's. I got so annoyed and I felt like pushed her off the curb..."

My chorus teacher: "Yeah. Natasha's annoying sometimes."

Thanks... a lot Casey. Thanks. And for the record...I wasn't even singing it on the way to Rita's. Haha. I've never sang it at school before.

Regarding Wicked..., Emma, Alison, Katherine, Jenny, and Becca wanted me to sing "Popular" from Wicked during French when a sub was monitering our class. So I did. And while doing that I put make-up on Kit and Mark. Ha.

When my French teacher came back... the sub left a note: "There was this girl singing this song. It was so annoying, but surprisingly sounded good"

Then... my French teacher told me to sing "Popular" in front of the whole French class. I guess that was my punishment for disrupting the class. At least I got to put eyeliner on my friend, Jessica's face. It was sort of funny. Then my teacher said, "She's got a career" or something like that. Weird times in French.

And all this happened because of the musical "Wicked". Wow.
